ChinaLone is the name I needed when I started traveling. At that time I figured I'd be singing in a band since I had an education as a singer-performer. But my career as producer had a kickstart once I entered duth Public television. At the end of the nineties a a workshop storytelling with my brother Jans Jans made me storyteller. These LBM songs I chose to show my "anthropologist" view on the indigiionous inhabitats of KwaZulu-Natal. When they promoted the Two worlds One hart album in Paradiso, Amsterdam the singers stole my hart. Once I started visiting South Africa, I've never bothered to ask it back. 😷🕉️☮️☮️☮️😷 In 1960 werd Chine vant Til verwekt en gebaard. Ze is door haar ouders altijd Chineke genoemd omdat haar peettante al Chine heette. Toen in Griekenland naar haar naam gevraagd werd, noemden ze haar Heineken hoewel ze de Griekse spelling van vrouw herkende als haar naam. Ze verzon ChinaLone als bijnaam maar gebruikte die zelden omdat ze all-round planner werd bij het NOB. Alle private opleidingen hebben van haar ook een performer gemaakt die eigenlijk een atelier zoekt om keramiek te maken. Tot dat gelukt is schrijf, danst en zingt ze.
